I’M BOSS. I enjoy @diane_keaton as an actress, artist, fashion connoisseur and as a deep and thoughtful human being. I drew this portrait of Diane while in the middle of reading her memoir, “Let’s Just Say It Wasn’t Pretty” which I think had an effect on how this portrait turned out. Diane goes into detail about the thoughts she has regarding her hair, her eyes, etc. She basically goes down a list of her body parts, so much that it feels quite intimate reading this book, actually. I think because I’m getting such an intimate look into her thoughts, I’ve been able to build a connection that makes this drawing more than just drawing a stranger who I’ve never met. Do you think that’s possible? I still have less than half of her memoir to go, but it’s been very fascinating looking into her thoughts in this way.
