It seems like so many people struggle with nutrition, especially during the holidays so let’s talk about what you can eat #OnTheGo or when you have less time to cook. My clients SHOULD always, always be prepped but I know life can get in the way sometimes and that's no reason to completely derail yourself. You can always eat healthy, you just have to know where to look. @pitapitcanada is a great place for “fast food“ and can still be super healthy (and on plan). Grab a small pita, load it up with veggies and they even have the option to double your protein to keep you nice and full. You can track your macros and calories with their online calculator, even for customized pitas. Most areas have local health food stores and if not, every grocery store has a health food section. They usually have more local and organic foods and some even have some pre-made meals or a hot and / or cold bar. Grab a @starbuckscanada oatmeal in the morning on the go, bring your own protein powder and mix it up. A black coffee with protein powder is also a delicious, protein-packed option. When in doubt, ALL grocery stores (and even most convenient stores) have fruits and veggies. Keep an apple, a banana, carrot sticks, celery and cucumbers in your purse or swing by a grocery store and pick some up when you’re in a rush. #FastFood Meal delivery services are everywhere now and many are customizable to your personal plan. Just ask! Even places like @montanasbbq and @bostonpizzacanada have the potential to be healthy if you make some effort. Grab a baked sweet potato with no butter or added sugar, steamed broccoli and a grilled chicken breast. Simple, healthy and quick and totally on plan. What’s your favourite quick and healthy on the go option?
