Let's start the week with some straight talk. A lot of our tiredness? It's self-inflicted. Because we want to help. Because we want to bring value to the lives of others. Because doing things for other people make us feel good. Annnnnnd also. When we face pressure, we want to perform. When something is requested of us at work, we fear the consequences of not achieving. If we know one thing, it's this. In coaching thousands of people, we've learnt that most of us are burnt out because we are setting ourselves on fire to keep others warm. And there's a limit to how long we can do this for. So this week, assess. Really think about what you can detach from and draw a boundary on this week. And relinquish all the things that are burning you out to keep someone else warm, but not serving you. The only time we should be on fire is when we are alight with desire to do things. Not because of expectations or obligations. And definitely not because we think we have to. Almost nothing is that crazy important. What are you going to detach from this week?
