These past few weeks I’ve been reading a devotional by J. Lee Grady on the topic of the Holy Spirit. Today’s commentary really encouraged me, and I felt sharing it might give y’all the opportunity to be encouraged as well: • • “The Spirit sustains me with supernatural strength and hope. When I experience grief, the Spirit cheers me; when I am mistreated or persecuted, He gives me miraculous grace to endure; when I am accused or misunderstood, He fights my battle for me; when I make a mistake and want to kick myself, He lifts my head and mixes gentle correction with encouragement; when I am in despair, He reminds me of God’s promises. He wants to do the same for you.” • • I don’t know what you’re struggling with, what is leaving you restless, or what you’re searching for...but be encouraged that there is a God who is walking in front of you through it all (John 14:16-17) He’s extending His hand, and He holds your heart even in the midst of its deepest wanderings. What a comfort, what a promise. • • Happy Saturday, friends!
