Ameer Vann - EMMANUEL Released - September 18th, 2019 Length: 16 minutes and 36 FAVORITE TRACKS: Emmanuel, Pop Trunk, Glock 19, Sunday Night, Plastic LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS: Los Angeles RATING: 7.5/10 The long awaited return of Ameer Vann has finally arrived. And it comes in the form of a new EP called EMMANUEL. This would be his first official project ever since he is still signed to RCA. Now I was very excited when he first bought back his instagram page and posted the poster for this project. Of course it was met with stupid people making fucked up comments about the allegations that led to him turning off his comment section. But regardless of that, I was curious as to what he had to say. Was he going to tell his side of the story? Was he planning on sending “shots” at BROCKHAMPTON? We found out in this EP. And when I say that this is a hell of a start for a solo career. I mean it. This project was amazing. It’s brief, cohesive and right down to the middle. There was no filler, and Ameer gets right down to nut cutting time when the first track “Emmanuel” starts. This is an extremely heavy hearted track. With only an 808 in the background, Ameer proceeds to go on a 2 minute and 30 second rant about everything that has happened. He mentions wanting to kill himself due to him losing everything he worked for at the the time. Including his friends, his girlfriend and the respect of millions of fans all over the world. The man’s depressed on here, he’s very sad. And not even just that, he’s very angry as well. And I don’t blame him at all. Not one bit. I love the way how the beat was so minimal to the point where the only thing that you could pay attention to was his words. The words are heavy as well. And Ameer doesn’t use big vocabulary or anything so the verses are very quick and easy to access. You can take everything in at one sitting and the more you listen, the more you hear more bars that he’s spitting. It’s a very heavy track man, a very heavy track.
