. . The dress that got away...although it's one of those Insta-mega-hit numbers by @zara which I ordered, photographed, did stories about it, I duly returned it 🥴. Why? . 1. The fabric can't be hand-washed 🙁, machine washed 🙁 and my local dry cleaners won't touch it with a barge pole as they are worried the fabric will melt! 😱 2. Not sure I'd wear a dress that is so Insta famous which the world and his wife have - sorry! 😬 3. The fabric isn't for me, it's 100% synthetic and didn't feel quite right. . . Then, why the hell am I writing this post about a dress I didn't keep but I'm smiling from ear to ear? . . Sometimes on this amazing platform, looks can be deceiving. I see someone wearing a coveted dress and it sends me into a frenzied 'must have too'. Yet I can't ignore it's not right for me - I don't like the fabric on me and I don't want to walk into a room with at least two other women wearing it. So why am I trying so hard to love it just because it's popular and it looks amazeballs on someone else? . . Does that make sense? Let's have your comments please ladies on the back of a postcard. . . .
