For those of you still on the fence about @liift4 or just beginning your journey, here’s what to expect as you progress though a weight lifting program: - 1️⃣ During the first couple weeks your body will not know WTF is going on! Muscles you didn’t even know existed will be SORE! Trust me, it won’t be long before you ❤️ and actually crave that all-over sore, can’t walk the next day feeling. - 2️⃣ After week four you should start to feel tighter and see muscles pop. With proper nutrition, you’ll see amazing tone, definition, fat loss and strength gains throughout your first year. Muscle takes time to grow, but as a newbie your body will progress quicker than someone who has trained for 2+ years. Take advantage of this! - 3️⃣ The scale may not budge much in your first four-six weeks. You will look leaner and your clothes will fit differently. You're swapping fat for muscle! Progress photos, measurements and gauging how differently your clothes fit are all better methods to track progress vs. the scale. - 4️⃣ At anytime, you may notice you’re: 💥Flexing anytime, anywhere, for no reason. 💥Carrying your purse, groceries, laundry, and kids around with ease. 💥Throwing around terms like “gains” and “macros” in everyday conversations. 💥Hi-jacking your mans weights during your workouts. 💥Eating strange food combos for the sake of getting enough protein. 💥Feeling stronger and sexier than you’ve ever been. - 5️⃣As you finish week 8, it’ll dawn on you that feeling strong is the best feeling you’ve ever had and your workout routine will never be the same. - @liift4 veterans, did I nail it? What tips and insights would you add?
