Last day today and our grandma didn't pass away during our stay as I expected. But this was the last visit as she will probably not make it through the year. But it still feels good that I came and could be with her, help to watch over her during some nights. Spent quality time. I'll continously pray for her not to have too much pain the remaining days. Atmosphere: 🍩🍩🍩 Clean, not too much modern except the neon sign. Chill place for students. About four wooden table with chairs. Chill half-modern kpop music in background. Service: 🍩🍩🍩 Standard. Food: 🍩🍩🍩 떡볶이 매운맛 - Toppokki spicy version (3000 KRW) - I TOTALLY FORGOT how spicy korean spicy is. I thought spicy toppokki would go well with fatty stuff we ordered but was crazy spicy. The first bite is like okay, but then the spiciness hits hard. It woke me up totally. I managed to eat two rice cakes. The sauce didn't have too much sweetness, but had hint of curry and oriental medicine. Did not like the sauce too much. The rice cake was very soft with little chewy texture. 김말이 - Fried seaweed roll filled with glass noodles (1000 KRW/2 pcs) is always right. Not remarkable flavours. 만두 - Fried dumplings (1500 KRW/5 pcs) were also filled with almost only glass noodles. Boring flavours and I expected more diverse filling. 깻잎튀김 - Fried sesame leaf filled with meat (2000 KRW/2 pcs) is also nice. The combination of the typical flavour from sesame leaf with fatty meat is great. I assume the meat was made of minced pork, but am not sure. I would not recommend this to those who don't like coriamder as the sesame leaf has special flavour. 서핑쿨 파인애플 - Yoghurt with pineapple flavour (2000 KRW/ 1L) is s must when eating spicy food. It tastes like watery yoghurt mixed with pineapple juice. It cools down the hotness immediately.
