Day 21 of #marchmeetthemaker with the prompt of ‘Throwback’. This is one of the very first memory bears I made - well over 4 years ago. I’m forever grateful to my first few customers who had the trust and faith to let me cut up their beloved baby grows! I had no idea of the journey I would go on over the next few years and am so incredibly proud of everything I have achieved - and of all the beautiful sewing that I’ve done. And the beautiful sewing that my seamstresses are now doing as well! This bear belongs to @clarebase who is also on the waiting list for her new(ish) born. Can’t wait to make that one too!
Coming soon! Laser engraved photo jewellery. The perfect gift for every occasion or no occasion at all! 🎁
#timewarp this was written in grade 5 for me but I think the subject and topic were from when i was in grade 4; we had a guest teacher whose son was in my class (nicholas gunn - whose father was of aboriginal decent and his mother caucasian) she came in weekly, i even vaguely remember it was either thursday or friday. we had a #drummingcircle, #smudging / #energyclearing “ceremonies” and learn about indigenous peoples and pre-colonial culture, their traditions, attire and rituals. It was what sparked the #spirituality in me and worry for the earth. i have also found artwork from grade 4/5 and it is not your average 8 year old art work either. for the closed off small town in the 80s and 90s with no outside contact except mail or phone i was concerned about environmental impact of industrialization as i drew it in a comic strip. talk about living in a #twilightzone and #bubble! i still remain close to #motherearth and respect their culture significantly. i feel a deep #connection to #energy#animals and can generally even predict weather patterns for the coming years when i am centred and dialed in. #shortstories#1991#1990#90s#80sbaby#reminiscing#keepsakes#innocentminds#smokehouse#mysticalstory#indigenouslearning bringing out the #imagination of a point in time that this may have occurred.

Day 21 of March Meet The Maker is 'Throwback.' So today my throwback is one my previous logos. I love this logo and still do but felt my company needed a revamp when it come to the logo colours and design. I love my new logo but looking at this one brings back memories of what I was doing back then and how far I've come with my business. I'm really proud of my achievements and love creating keepsake jewellery for my customers. Loretta xx
