Friends! I am still here! We are (nearly) settled at our temporary home and I am feeling the need to rustle the dust out of my feathers. Moving back to Maine immediately following the largest collection release I have ever done really Walloped me with a capital "w". Once we finally arrived in here, I melted into a puddle, surrounded by cardboard boxes, the same set of clothes worn for far too many days, and very confused cats. More than any other time that I can remember, I needed to let myself resolidify: bones sliding back into place, mind slowing after months of churn and chug, feathers being preened after much neglect, and allowing myself to be still. And most of all, pulling in skyfuls of autumn sunshine and lungfuls of air dizzyingly clear. Maine is a balm to my soul, and I cannot fully express my joy at being here for good. Now that I am more or less put back together, I will be moving forward in a special project, writing and photographing more, making a few small collections will land in the shop before Christmas (perhaps some ravens and a teensy redux), and the moment the snow flies, I will begin the North Wind Collection. It is so good to be home.
