Today we are shocked and heartbroken to lose one of our dearest Paws4Survival rescues, Juana. We first met her in February 2017 at the Save a Sato shelter...she left with us and since then never left our side. After months of chemo, our youngest volunteer Lexi fell in love and couldn’t bear to part with Juana, officially adopting her 💓 Today during a routine surgery to repair a hematoma in her ear, our dear Juana never woke up from the anesthesia. It still doesn’t seem real. We will always remember our Juana — a pup who nursed an orphaned kitten, a survivor, a fighter of cancer, a cuddler extraordinaire, and super foster sister to many of our satos & gatos. Run free, Juana, you are always with us.
