That’s me up top! And yes, that’s @michelleobama waving. Last night, I shared my story with over 20,000 people at Michelle Obama’s #IAmBecoming book tour stop (check out my stories for the video!). @robinrobertsgma, last night’s host and moderator, asked Mrs. Obama about her why, and she replied that she see’s it as her responsibility to show other young girls like her what is truly possible for them to achieve in this world. Guys. I am a brown girl from Grande Prairie, Alberta. I have been to places I could never have dreamed for myself. Premiering my first film at the Obama White House in 2016. Being acknowledged by @Oprah for my work, and over the last few months, creating a relationship with Mrs. Obama and her team, to hopefully help amplify the impact of their work in the world. Stay tuned this next week as I’ll drop the full story (pitching her cold in Denver in December to taking the stage last night) on @kaur.space. But today, I just want you to know that you can and will achieve anything you set your mind, heart and strategy towards. I am building a movement aligned with Michelle Obama’s vision for women and girls, especially those who look like us — to understand and unleash our full potential. I know I am here for a reason greater than anything I can imagine. And the work continues day after day. Last night was another affirmation that I am indeed on the right path. Here’s to educating more girls globally. Here’s to enabling millennial women to be healthy and well as we transform the systems we live in. Here’s to connecting to one another deeply and truthfully. Here’s to unleashing our unrealized potential. You are limitless. And we are in this thing called life together. Let’s keep doing the work. Now tell me, what’s your one big audacious dream for this life? Let’s jam about the impact we will make!
