Healing requires release. The version of you that heals is going to be different than the version of you that is sick or unwell. If you’re unable to let go of the past, of the beliefs that hold you back, of the shame, resentment, anger, self-loathing, and stories of you’re brokenness - true healing that reaches every corner of your body, mind, heart, and soul is going to be difficult. We have to willingly turn to the parts of ourselves that resist our own healing with compassionate curiosity in order to understand them and release them healthfully and lovingly. Because we cannot be held hostage to our doubts and fears and be free and vibrant at the same. Because our healing demands a new direction, a new belief, a new hope. When we don’t love ourselves unconditionally and trust ourselves completely, we have a hard time being with our darkness, we have a hard time confronting our fears with loving intention. And thus we have a hard time healing. Healing requires release and we cannot truly release a wound, belief, doubt, trauma, or fear unless we have sat with it in compassion and allowed it to teach us what we need to know, if we have not asked it how it can help us heal. Instead of resisting the doubt, anxiety, and fear that come up in your effort to heal, ask it what it wants to teach you, give thanks for the lesson, and then release it so you can move towards your healing with lighter step, greater confidence, and stronger resolve. What is holding your healing back? What can it teach you? How can you let it go with gratitude and love? Are you tired of managing symptom after symptom?
