THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES... I've been pretty quiet in the lead up to the election. I guess I felt like my opinions might be too radical as I believe change comes from the ground, in communities, from working people, and have zero faith in any government under a Capitalist system resulting in real progress. The kind of progress that ends austerity, ends the disparity between rich and poor, ends the rolling tide towards devastating climate change, ends the destruction of public services, ends political farces like Brexit and ends the division of the working class. This kind of social change is called socialism, where the needs of the people are prioritised over profit. Recently, I was reminded that radical simply means grasping things at the root (a quote from Angela Davis). I'm just gonna leave this here and say that the election result does not defeat us. We already know the UK is the belly of the beast. If anything, let this result push us to continue to struggle for an end to the imperialism that exploits working people's labour all over the globe. Direct your desire for change, for a more caring, united and considerate society, into building exactly that. Not through charity or marginal parlimentary policy changes, but by grasping Capitalism's ugly head at the root and tearing it right out the ground. Come the Revolution! All power to the people!
