Meet the #professionalwelders of tomorrow. After a career as an entrepreneur and after working in the pharmaceutical industry, Joseph Hall decided to pursue a welding career. He enrolled in our 6 month Aerospace Welding Career program. Joseph graduated with: - welding certifications in accordance with the AWS D9.1 Sheet Metal Welding code, on carbon steel, stainless and aluminum, all positions, GTAW. - welding certifications in accordance with AWS D17.1 Fusion Welding for Aerospace Applications in aluminum groove welds and fillet welds on 0.063” & 0.035” sheet and small diameter tubing., all positions, GTAW. - welding certification in accordance with AWS D17.1, stainless steel, flux core - welding certification in accordance with AWS D1.6 Structural Welding Code - Stainless Steel, Flux Core He learned to use the plasma cutter, metal shears, cold saw, and troubleshoot equipment, and more! He helped in the shop when not in class, and welded on small projects to gain work experience. About a week before finishing the program, Joseph was hired by SpaceX, primarily to work on the Starship, starting at $25/hr plus benefits, working 6-7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day. Occasionally he may have to travel to Texas and Florida for work. Joseph was a very dedicated, hard working student and went above and beyond program requirements. He starts at SpaceX tomorrow.
