Rabia and Aman, two of seven children from one extended family who lost at least one leg almost a year ago when, walking to school one morning they came across an unexploded rocket propelled grenade leftover from fighting between Taliban and Afghan government forces the night before. Four others from the family were also killed in the explosion that occurred when the RPG detonated. A year on, because their school is too far away for the children to walk on their prostheses, they continue to study at home with the help of a teacher paid for through a fund set up to help the family. You can contribute here: http://www.enabledchildren.org/ Remarkably, despite what they went through last year, the children old enough to be sitting exams all finished in the top half of their classes at the end of 2018. And a visit from a couple of journalist today barely saw them raise their eyes from their books. With the great support of @katzandrew, their story was published by @time Magazine in October last year. Photo: @andrewquilty. 18.3.2019.
